Male Time Out Lead / Chef

Position Overview:

Nai Subah Youth Empowerment Trust is seeking a dynamic and skilled Male Chef to lead its Time Out Food Venture. A social enterprise designed to empower visually impaired youth through culinary skills and entrepreneurship.

As the Time Out Lead / Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding the food venture, ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality, and professionalism while creating a sustainable model that delivers both impact and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet the highest standards.

Train and mentor visually impaired youth in cooking, baking, food preparation, safety, and hygiene practices.

Guide trainees in managing commercial orders from receiving to packaging and delivery.

Manage financial basics, including budgeting, pricing, and cost control for sustainable operations.

Actively participate in events, networking, and community engagement to promote the Time Out venture.

Support business growth through relationship-building, mentorship, and effective leadership.

Preferred Background:

Proven experience as a Chef in the food and beverage industry, catering, or restaurant management.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic financial management, Budgeting and Costing tools.

NGO background is preferred.

Passion for social impact, inclusion, and youth empowerment.
