Position Overview
The Manager Finance (Receivable & Taxation) is responsible for managing the company’s receivable functions, ensuring timely revenue collection, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing all taxation matters including compliance, returns, and audits. The role ensures strong internal controls, efficient receivable management, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Receivable Management
- Oversee the complete Accounts Receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and customer aging.
- Monitor customer credit limits and ensure adherence to credit policies.
- Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
- Coordinate with the sales and commercial teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Prepare AR aging reports and highlight overdue accounts to management.
2. Taxation (Income Tax & Sales Tax)
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns including Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax.
- Maintain updated knowledge of changing tax rules and ensure compliance with FBR, PRA & other relevant authorities.
- Manage tax audits, assessments, and respond to tax notices.
- Review withholding tax deductions and ensure proper deposit and record-keeping.
- Reconcile tax ledgers and ensure accurate reporting in financial statements.
3. Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AR and Taxation.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
- Conduct reconciliations of AR accounts, tax ledgers, customer balances, and intercompany transactions.
- Support annual external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
4. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure strong internal controls over receivable and taxation processes.
- Develop SOPs for billing, collection, and taxation functions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Minimize financial risk through proactive tax planning and AR control management.
5. Team Management & Coordination
- Lead and supervise receivable and taxation team members.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounts Payable for smooth operations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong command over Accounts Receivable processes and taxation laws.
- Excellent understanding of FBR and provincial tax regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle audits and external stakeholders professionally.
- Good communication and team-management abilities.
Education & Experience
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, ACCA / CA / ICMA finalist or part-qualified preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Receivable and Taxation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in FMCG, Retail, Distribution, or Manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
