Manager - Production operations (EV bikes)

Job scope:
The Assistant Manager – Production Line will support the Production Manager in overseeing the entire production process of EV bikes. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are strictly followed. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in automotive or electric vehicles, and possess leadership and problem-solving skills to manage teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow SROs for assembly process and parts procurement

o As Assistant Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support and manage EV bike assembly operations with specific focus on regulatory compliance, parts approval, and production planning, including but not limited to:

o Study, verify, and finalize the complete parts list of all EV bike models.

o Approve and coordinate parts lists for production and regulatory submission.

o Manage and execute EDB registration of products and parts.

o Prepare and coordinate annual quota documentation with EDB and relevant authorities.

o Develop and maintain SRO (Statutory Regulatory Order) lists for government approvals.

o Coordinate with internal teams and authorities for compliance with Pakistan EV policies and regulations.

o Create and maintain Oracle BOM (Bill of Materials) for each product model.

o Ensure BOM accuracy for onward regular ordering in line with approved annual sales forecasts.

o Support production planning, assembly line efficiency, and material availability.

o Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality teams for smooth production flow.

  • Production Assembly line

o Assist in execution of production Assy line planning as per EDB requirement.

o Establish system and align the assembly process as per OFERO guidance.

o Align all work force in same target.

  • Production Planning & Execution
  • Assist in planning and scheduling production activities to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Monitor the production line to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure raw materials and components are available.
  • Team Management & Leadership
  • Supervise production line staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Train and mentor team members on production processes and safety protocols.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure production quality meets company and industry standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process and propose solutions.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to address defects or production issues.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety standards and practices across the production line.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and report safety concerns to management.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPIs.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly production updates to management.
  • Assist in preparing reports for management review, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
