- Bachelor’s degree (BBA) or preferably Master’s (MBA) in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related field.
 
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Target Setting
 - Develop, implement, and regularly review retail sales strategies aimed at meeting or exceeding sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annual).
 - Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, competitor actions in the tiles / flooring category to identify opportunities and threats.
 - Define pricing strategies, promotional offers, and discount structures suitable for retail market in tiles.
 - Team Leadership & Development
 - Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and supervise a team of retail sales staff (sales associates, supervisors).
 - Set individual and team performance goals; conduct performance reviews.
 - Lead by example: motivate staff, encourage high levels of product knowledge about tiles, materials, finishes, etc.
 - Store / Channel Management
 - Oversee daily store operations: merchandising, product display, visual presentation, store layout to showcase tile collections attractively.
 - Ensure adequate inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, minimisation of stock-outs or overstock.
 - Coordinate with logistics / supply chain to ensure timely delivery, returns, and handling of damaged or defective tiles.
 - Customer Relationships & Experience
 - Ensure excellent customer service in all retail touchpoints: greeting, advising on tile types, size, texture, aesthetic, installation support, warranty.
 - Handle customer complaints or issues, ensuring resolution that maintains goodwill.
 - Work with architects/designers/contractors (if relevant) to promote premium tile lines, specifications, or custom orders.
 - Marketing & Promotions
 - Collaborate with marketing team to plan and execute promotional events, tile exhibitions, showroom launches or new product launches.
 - Ensure that point-of-sale materials, display samples, catalogue brochures etc are up-to-date, well presented.
 - Use local marketing tactics (store signage, local dealer tie-ups, trade shows) to increase brand visibility.
 - Reporting, Analysis & Budgeting
 - Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts; monitor KPIs such as sales volumes, margins, inventory turnover, foot traffic, conversion rates.
 - Track budget for retail operations: staff costs, marketing/promotional spend, store maintenance etc.
 - Identify performance gaps and take corrective actions (restructure team, change tactics, change product mix).
 - Operational Excellence & Compliance
 - Ensure store / showroom meets company standards for cleanliness, safety, product quality, showroom ambience.
 - Maintain safety standards for handling heavy tiles, storage, lifting, etc.
 - Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements (imports, building codes, standards if relevant, consumer safety).
 - Product Knowledge & Technical Understanding
 - Acquire and keep up-to-date strong knowledge of tile materials (porcelain, ceramic, stone, etc.), finishes, installation techniques, maintenance.
 - Be able to explain technical differences to customers and sales team.
 - Monitor innovations in tile designs, textures, digital printing, eco-friendly materials etc.

- Excellent leadership & people management skills.
 - Strong negotiation & communication skills (written & verbal).
 - Analytical mindset: ability to interpret sales data, KPIs, market research.
 - Customer-centric approach.
 - Ability to work under pressure, flexible with travel if showrooms / dealers are scattered.
 - Proficient in tools like MS Office; familiarity with CRM / retail management systems a plus.
 - 5-6 years of progressive experience in retail sales / sales management.
 - Preferably experience in the tiles, ceramics, flooring, or related building-materials industry.
 - Strong record of achieving sales targets and handling retail operations.
 
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
