Job description:
- Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations, inventory, and staff of all company stores.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across all stores.
- Ensure timely stock replenishment and minimize stock-outs or overstocking.
- Monitor expiry dates and conditions of perishable and sensitive items.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
- Supervise store personnel and allocate tasks based on store type and priority.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Ensure cold storage and fuel storage meet health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement pest control, temperature monitoring, and fire safety measures where applicable.
- Maintain documentation for inspections, HSE compliance, and hazardous material handling.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and finance teams for smooth operations.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on stock movements, slow-moving items, and consumption patterns.
- Recommend inventory optimization strategies and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
- Train and mentor store assistants and helpers.
- Manage workforce planning and performance appraisals for the store team.
- Ensure team adherence to operational protocols and safety standards.
Educational and Experience Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum experience of 10-12 years in related domains.
- Proven experience in inventory/store management, preferably across diverse categories.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and inventory control software.
- Familiarity with HACCP, HSE, or ISO standards is a plus.
