Job Purpose:
Lead the manufacturing function across the designated plant to ensure product availability with optimal cost, highest quality, food safety standards and in the right time to enable the achievement of the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision of Subordinates:

Lead the operations team to organize, manage, control and improve the activities of the operation functions to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of production and customers’ needs in compliance with the company’s operations and supply chain KPIs

Ensure employees’ development, engagement and motivation

Determine training plan according to job and business requirements and ensure best practice is always adopted.

Manage the performance of the operations team, through guiding and monitoring them in accomplishing their objectives. Address performance issues and skill gaps and work on improving them.
Budget and Planning:

Participate in the design of strategic plans based on forecasts and make sure the end-to-end provision of supply chain solution.

Effectuate implementation of pre-planned strategies for accomplishment of performance milestones.

Deliver support in short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team

Lead budget preparation and adherence, plant efficiencies and cost savings initiatives

Maintain the budget of all the CAPEX/ expenditures incurred and present the same to Top Management
-
Conduct regular analysis on actual spend versus budget, ensure conversion cost does not exceed target and generate periodic reports

Carry out company objectives with strict adherence to Company policies as they pertain to the operations management under his control.

Recommend desirable changes in important policies within operations and work with the senior management to discuss and evaluate them.

Daily Operations:
-
Spearhead manufacturing, operations (production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, planning, logistics and clearance) and plant management across meat entities in assigned locations.

Manage the production of wide range of further processed poultry, beef, mutton and sea food products.

Ensure safety, quality, cost, and customer service goals are met.

serve as an operational resource, apply best practices and execute change that links continuous improvement opportunities with short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives.

Lead the operations and CAPEX projects, identify project bottlenecks and undertake corrective measures along with ensuring effective management and discipline for safe & timely execution of the projects.

Develop & maintain constructive relationship with various teams in the company to explore, evaluate and implement new initiatives and render exceptional services to clients

Promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.

Monitor all quality assurance principles and ensure strict compliance with food safety, QA and QC standards.

Develop various quality specifications in full compliance with recognized industry standards, safety standards, and various client specifications
-
Coordinate with the research & development division in producing new products.
-
Ensure plant resource utilization, analysing variance reports with an ability to lead diverse teams and work in a multi-culture work environment.

Ensure availability of raw materials for the plant on time to guarantee production flow as planned.

Ensure on time delivery of finished goods to customers and respond to customer requirements and complaints. Conduct root-cause analysis for customer complaints.

Ensure safety standards are strictly adhered to, analyse accidents if any and take needed corrective actions
