Role Overview

The Marketplace Operations Manager is responsible for building and scaling the operational backbone of the talent marketplace — ensuring seamless pre-sale and post-sale execution that delivers exceptional customer experience and high-quality talent placements.

This role combines strategic process design with hands-on operational leadership. The Manager will establish best-in-class systems, SOPs, and SLAs to drive efficiency, consistency, and accountability across the entire talent lifecycle — from acquisition and onboarding to long-term retention.

The position demands a data-driven and people-focused leader who can:

  • Build and optimize infrastructure for operational visibility and auditability , ensuring that every stage of the talent journey is measurable and improvable.
  • Launch and iterate on initiatives that improve Initial Match Quality (IMQ) and enhance talent retention across markets.
  • Lead and develop a multi-market operations and enablement team , fostering collaboration with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure cross-functional alignment and service excellence.

Ultimately, the Marketplace Operations Manager will be the engine of operational quality — translating strategy into repeatable systems that scale efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and strengthen Edge’s marketplace reputation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Building pre-sale & post- sale operational efficiency infrastructure to ensure best quality services to the customer for their talent hiring
  • Introducing & leading best practices to ensure high Initial Match Quality
  • Building trackability & audit mechanisms across the stages of talent journey
  • Introducing and launching initiatives to improve talent retention
  • Managing a team of operations leads & talent enablement leads across multiple markets
  • Building and maintaining SLAs & SOPs around the cross-functional collaboration and initiatives


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Background in tech marketplaces/start-ups - ideal
  • Experience in Operations, Supply Operations, Sales operations, category management
  • Prior experience in leading teams & driving business & operational efficiencies
  • Problem solving & strategic thinking
  • Data driven mindset to make sense of the complex problems and to arrive at informed decisions
  • Good communication - understanding the business needs, articulating & communicating to the teams to drive collaboration & impact
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across the functions
  • Experience and understanding of predicting and mitigating churn
  • 4-7 years of experience
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable institution
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel/Google Sheets is required
