Material Controller

• Control and monitor all project materials including bulk materials, piping, valves, structural steel, electrical and instrumentation items
• Ensure materials are available at site as per construction priorities and project schedule
• Maintain accurate inventory records in systems.
• Track material receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
• Prevent material shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Construction, Planning, QA/QC, and Logistics teams.
• Support material requirement planning based on drawings and construction schedules.
• Liaise with subcontractors for material allocation and control.
• Participate in weekly material status and coordination meetings.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and packing lists
• Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspection and release
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, and identification of materials as per project and vendor requirements
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly material status reports
• Assist in material reconciliation and close-out at project completion
• Promote safe material handling and storage practices

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5–10 years experience in material control for Oil & Gas projects
• Previous experience in Ras Laffan or QatarEnergy projects is highly preferred
• Knowledge of LNG project requirements is an advantage.
