Mechanical Design Engineer

Core Roles & Responsibilities
1️ Design & Engineering

• Prepare mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, piping, etc.)
• Perform engineering calculations (heat load, pump head, duct sizing, pressure drop)
• Equipment selection (chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, compressors)
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD / Revit / SolidWorks
• Ensure compliance with international and local standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO)

2️ Technical Documentation

• Design reports
• BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
• Technical specifications
• Method statements
• Review contractor/shop drawings and material submittals
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for technical approvals

3️ Project Coordination

• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and structural teams
• Attend client and consultant meetings
• Resolve design clashes (using BIM/Revit if applicable)
• Support project managers in technical matters

4️ Site Support & Supervision

• Conduct site inspections
• Ensure work execution matches approved drawings
• Handle technical queries (RFIs)
• Assist in testing & commissioning of systems

5️ Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to:
• Local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA in UAE)
• Safety standards
• Company QA/QC procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
