Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of medical billing records, claims, and documentation to identify potential errors, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
• Review and analyze coding practices to ensure adherence to industry standards and guidelines.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient demographic information, insurance details, and procedural codes.
• Collaborate with the billing team to provide feedback, guidance, and recommendations for process improvement and error reduction.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing regulations, coding guidelines, and reimbursement policies.
• Assist in developing and delivering training programs for billing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings and recommendations for corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with a specific focus on auditing and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding guidelines, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Relevant certifications in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPMA) are preferred.
