About the role
Kansas Pain Management is a private interventional pain practice looking for a hands‑on Medical Office Manager / Practice Operations Coordinator to run the day‑to‑day business side of a small but growing clinic. You will own the office operations, QuickBooks, HR/payroll support, and help us use technology and AI to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain QuickBooks: enter and categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end reports.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, coordinate with our external CPA and payroll provider as needed.
- Support billing and revenue cycle: work with our biller, resolve registration/insurance issues, and help manage patient balances.
- Oversee front office workflows: phones, scheduling, check‑in/check‑out, copay collection, scanning, and documentation.
- Handle patient complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution and follow‑up.
- Administer HR basics: personnel files, onboarding/offboarding, time and attendance, PTO tracking, payroll information.
- Use AI tools and practice data to improve processes, track simple KPIs, and support practice growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration (or equivalent experience); bachelor’s preferred.
- 3+ years in a medical office or small business office role (office manager, billing specialist, or similar).
- Hands‑on QuickBooks experience required; comfortable with spreadsheets and learning new software.
- Experience with medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills, professional with patients and staff, highly organized, and reliable.
- Problem-solver with a growth mindset and comfort using AI/technology.
Pay: $24.84 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
