Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient MEP Coordinator to manage and oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between design teams, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure seamless coordination, compliance, and timely execution of all MEP systems.

As an MEP Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that building services are integrated smoothly into the overall construction, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage MEP design, installation, and commissioning activities across multiple projects.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Facilitate collaboration between architectural, structural, and MEP teams to avoid clashes and ensure proper integration.
• Conduct MEP coordination meetings, resolve technical conflicts, and issue clear directives to subcontractors.
• Oversee and support the BIM coordination process, ensuring 3D models are aligned across disciplines.
• Monitor project schedules, progress, and deliverables for all MEP-related tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Review and manage submittals, RFIs, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases of MEP systems.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in MEP coordination in construction or building services.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Navisworks, and other coordination tools.
• Experience in clash detection and resolution using BIM tools.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in large-scale commercial or residential projects.
• Familiarity with green building standards (LEED, Estidama, etc.).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and deliver under tight deadlines.
• PMP certification or similar project management credentials (optional but preferred).
