Job Summary:
The MEP Engineer/Manager will oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. This role involves coordinating design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure timely project completion within budget and quality standards. The professional will act as a key liaison between architects, consultants, contractors, and the client.
Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Design Coordination
- Review and approve MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integration.
- Evaluate design concepts for feasibility, value engineering, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, etc.), and sustainability requirements.
2. Execution & Supervision
- Supervise and monitor installation of MEP systems including HVAC, fire-fighting, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and ELV systems.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Manage MEP subcontractors and ensure coordination between civil and MEP works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
3. Project Management
- Prepare and track project schedules, milestones, and progress reports.
- Support procurement activities — material selection, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor cost control, variations, and change orders related to MEP scope.
- Participate in project review meetings and report to the Project Director / Construction Head.
4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and system handover to operations/maintenance teams.
- Ensure proper documentation — as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty records.
- Support post-construction defect rectification and maintenance coordination.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of MEP systems design and execution.
- Expertise in project planning tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills..
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in MEP works within the real estate and construction industry.
- Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹850,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
