MEP Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Plumbing Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP contracting team. The candidate will be responsible for design review, execution, supervision, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Site Responsibilities:

• Review and study plumbing & mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Execute and supervise installation of:
• Water supply systems (cold & hot)
• Drainage & sewage systems
• Storm water systems
• Pumping systems
• Firefighting piping systems
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and local authority regulations.
• Conduct pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of systems.
• Prepare method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support.

Project Management:

• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare work schedules and manpower planning.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Control material usage and reduce wastage.
• Ensure quality control and safety standards on site.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Maintain inspection requests (IR), RFI, and site records.
• Assist in project handover documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in MEP contracting (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing & mechanical systems.
• Familiar with UAE local authority regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit is an advantage).
• Good communication and leadership skills.
