MEP Engineer (Real Estate Developer | UAE)

Job Purpose

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, reviewing, and supervising Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across real estate development projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, UAE regulations, quality standards, and timelines while supporting smooth coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Coordination & Execution

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise installation and testing of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.

2. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all MEP works comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, SEWA, Civil Defence, and other UAE regulatory standards.
• Conduct inspections and ensure quality control during installation and commissioning.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.

3. Cost & Documentation Management

• Assist in cost estimation, variation evaluation, and value engineering initiatives.
• Maintain proper documentation, reports, and site records.
• Support project close-out activities including as-built drawings and handover documentation.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Supervise testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Coordinate authority inspections and approvals.
• Ensure smooth project handover to facilities management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of MEP experience with UAE real estate developers or contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Familiarity with UAE authority approvals (DEWA, Civil Defence, Municipality).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
