MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on major construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong cost control, billing, and variation management experience within the MEP contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Interim Payment Applications (IPCs) and final accounts
• Measure and prepare BOQs from drawings and specifications
• Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change orders
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow
• Verify subcontractor invoices and manage back-to-back payments
• Support contract administration in line with FIDIC / bespoke contracts
• Prepare monthly commercial and cost reports for management
• Assist in dispute resolution and commercial negotiations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
• 5+ years experience as an MEP QS in construction projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and electrical systems
• Solid understanding of contracts and commercial procedures
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and cost control tools
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage
