The Role
Position Title: Operation Officer - Banking Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: up to 12K AED inclusive depending on experience and qualifications Benefits: as per UAE labor law, family benefits, airline ticket Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE About the Client: One of the leading global institutions with strong regional presence across the UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan, known for driving innovation in Islamic and corporate banking. Job Description: • Handle inward/outward remittances (FTS/SWIFT), WPS, DDS, cheque clearing, manager’s cheques/demand drafts, standing orders, auto sweeps, journal entries, and reconciliations. • Manage account opening/closure, fixed deposits, static data maintenance, KYC reviews, documentation follow-ups, and ensure customer confidentiality. • Prepare month-end and ad hoc reports, perform voucher checks, handle internal/external queries, and maintain proper filing and archiving. • Conduct UAT testing, monitor documentation discrepancies, follow up on expired licenses/IDs, support projects, execute clean-ups, and provide staff training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking operations or related field. • Strong understanding of CBUAE regulations, Sharis compliance, Islamic banking standards, banking operations management, and accounting/bookkeeping practices. • Knowledge of transaction processing, process improvements, and efficient resource management. • Strong communication, analytical, planning, problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and good command of English
