As a Shop Operations Executive for MARLI New York, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our boutique. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing all back-end functions, allowing the sales team to focus on providing an exceptional client experience that reflects the brand’s unique and modern aesthetic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management:

Conduct daily and monthly stock takes to ensure accuracy.

Manage incoming and outgoing stock, including receiving, tagging, and organizing new merchandise.

Process and track inter-store transfers, consignments, and returns.

Oversee the management of display items and packaging materials.
Financial Administration:

Handle petty cash and manage daily cash reconciliation.

Prepare and submit daily sales reports and other financial documentation.

Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled with the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Store Operations:

Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and suppliers.

Manage and track the condition of store equipment, displays, and fixtures.

Handle the documentation and logistics for repairs and after-sales service.

Ensure the store maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
Security and Compliance:

Adhere to strict security protocols for handling high-value merchandise.

Maintain and update all necessary operational documents, including policies and procedures.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Client & After-Sales Service Management:

Assist in maintaining client databases and records, ensuring all client information is up-to-date and accurate.

Coordinate the logistics of product shipments for clients, including managing couriers and preparing necessary documentation for domestic and international deliveries.

Manage the administrative process for after-sales service, including logging requests, tracking repair progress, and communicating with clients regarding their items.
Administrative & IT Support:

Serve as the liaison between the store and corporate head office, as well as with external service providers for maintenance, security, and cleaning.

Provide first-line troubleshooting for the POS system and other in-store technology. Report and escalate technical issues to the relevant IT support team.

While not a primary sales role, the operations executive may be required to assist the sales team by retrieving stock for client viewings, packaging purchases, or providing administrative support during peak hours.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education
: University degree, preferably in Accounting.
Experience
: 2-3 years of luxury retail experience

: Analytical thinking, organized, responsible, and excellent communication skills, detail-oriented
Computer skills
: Advanced Excel mandatory
Language
: Fluent in English (verbal and written)
