AMRA is a Canadian startup transforming how North Americans shop Pakistani fashion. Our platform connects style-conscious customers abroad with local fashion experts who know the markets, trends, and hidden gems of Pakistan.

We’re now looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Operations Lead to oversee our on-ground team in Karachi. This is a pivotal leadership role in our early-stage journey — you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the business, ensuring every order, every customer interaction, and every vendor relationship runs seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll lead and manage all operational aspects of AMRA’s Pakistan-based activities. You’ll oversee our Fashion Sourcing Specialists, streamline processes, and ensure our customers — many of whom are Pakistanis living abroad — receive an exceptional, trustworthy experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Fashion Sourcing Specialist team to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Oversee the full order lifecycle — from sourcing and quality control to packaging and dispatch.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure timely procurement of products and materials.
  • Stay ahead of local fashion trends, market shifts, and consumer preferences to guide sourcing and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and execute campaigns that resonate with both local and international audiences.
  • Oversee people management, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare regular operational reports for the COO.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and brand guidelines.
  • Support content creation by coordinating or participating in short behind-the-scenes videos to showcase our process and build trust with customers.
  • Act as a key liaison for international clients, understanding the cultural nuances and preferences of Pakistanis overseas.

What We’re Looking For

  • Location: Karachi, Pakistan (mandatory)
  • Proven leadership experience in fashion, retail, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of local markets, fashion trends, and vendor networks.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English and Urdu communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Experience managing teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment — adaptable, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Bonus: Prior experience dealing with international clients, especially Pakistanis living abroad.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using digital platforms for operations and communication.
