Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of retail stores, ensuring adherence to company policies, operational efficiency, and excellent customer service standards. This role involves supervising daily store operations, managing staff performance, ensuring proper store opening and closure, overseeing cleaning and maintenance activities, and monitoring cash handling and expense control.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day branch activities to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with security and operational protocols.
  • Ensure stores maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation.
  • Monitor stock availability, coordinate replenishments, and reduce stock variances.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues promptly and professionally.

Financial & Cash Handling

  • Supervise cash handling, daily reconciliations, and safe deposits.
  • Monitor store expenses, utility bills, and petty cash to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and review financial/operational reports and submit to management.

Staff Management

  • Manage and guide store supervisors, sales staff, and cleaning teams.
  • Organize duty rosters, shift allocations, and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Train and coach staff to maintain service quality and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend improvements.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational guidelines, and compliance standards.
  • Implement safety and security protocols across stores.
  • Support implementation of promotional campaigns, events, and seasonal activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in retail operations or multi-store management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of retail operations, cash handling, and expense management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to travel between branches as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
