Position Title: Optical Business Development Manager (BDM)

Department: Optical Division / Business Development

Location: Tamil Nadu (State Level Role)

Job Location: Chennai and Villupuram

Reporting To: VP- FoCUS

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Objective:

To lead and manage the entire Optical Division business operations across Tamil Nadu with full accountability for Purchase, Sales, and Team Management. The role demands strategic planning, business expansion, and end-to-end execution ensuring consistent growth, profitability, and operational excellence in the optical vertical of QnQ Healthcare Pvt Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Expansion & Revenue Growth

· Oversee the complete business operations of the Optical Division across Tamil Nadu.

· Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales and profit targets.

· Drive the opening of new optical outlets and franchise partnerships in potential markets.

· Build and maintain strong B2B and B2C relationships to strengthen market presence.

2. Purchase & Vendor Management

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for frames, lenses, contact lenses, and accessories.

· Negotiate purchase terms and pricing to maintain cost efficiency and product quality.

· Ensure continuous product availability and manage stock levels effectively.

· Coordinate with Warehouse and Finance teams for timely procurement and vendor payments.

3. Sales Operations & Marketing Support

· Establish monthly and quarterly sales targets for the region.

· Monitor sales performance through daily reports and ensure timely achievement of goals.

· Support marketing initiatives, product promotions, and local campaigns for optical sales growth.

· Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and brand consistency across all stores.

4. Team Leadership & People Management

· Recruit, train, and supervise sales and store staff across all optical locations.

· Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and motivate teams for productivity.

· Foster a high-performance culture with strong accountability and teamwork.

5. Reporting & Business Analysis

· Prepare and present state-level sales, purchase, and performance MIS reports.

· Conduct business reviews with management highlighting key achievements and improvement areas.

· Analyze regional performance trends and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Required Competencies:

· Strong knowledge of Optical / Eyewear business, products, and retail operations.

· Proven experience in large-scale business handling and team leadership.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reporting tools.

· Strategic mindset with hands-on operational capability.

Qualification & Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry / Business Administration / Science.

· MBA / PG in Marketing or Healthcare Management (preferred).

· Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Optical / Retail / Healthcare Business Development.

· Experience in statewide or multi-location business operations will be an added advantage.

Compensation:

As per industry standards (Fixed + Performance Incentives)
