Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Hamilton, NJ

Job Type: Contract

Pay rate: $25 per hour on W2.

Hours: 35 hrs./wk.

Newkleo is hiring a Paralegal for one of their clients in Hamilton, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the management, sale, and maintenance of real property assets owned by wards under guardianship.
• Prepare, review, and file legal documents in Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court, including petitions, accountings, deeds, and other property-related filings.
• Conduct legal research on property, title, and guardianship matters.
• Coordinate with real estate professionals, title companies, and court personnel to facilitate transactions and ensure compliance with guardianship orders.
• Maintain detailed case files and property records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Track deadlines, hearing dates, and other critical case milestones.
• Assist with the preparation of accountings and reports required by the court.
• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff within the Guardianship Unit as needed.

Skills required:

• Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with guardianship proceedings and Surrogate’s Court practice.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.

Education required:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

Experience required:

• Minimum 2–5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on property or real estate law.

Work hours:

• Monday through Friday-8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• lunch: Half hour unpaid.
