Patient Care Tech Surgical Services Operating Room

• Execute rapid and thorough cleaning of the OR between cases, including floor sanitation and equipment disinfection, following strict infection control protocols.
• Safely move patients from pre-op to the OR and from the OR to PACU, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
• Assist the surgical team in safely positioning patients on the operating table using specialized bolsters, pillows, and straps.
• Gather necessary equipment (e.g., towers, monitors, specialized beds) for specific cases and ensure all supplies are restocked.
• Deliver lab specimens to pathology or the lab following precise labeling and handling procedures.
• Assist the Circulating Nurse with non-sterile tasks, such as opening sterile supplies or running for extra equipment during a procedure.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
