Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Processor to manage and process payroll accurately and on time for our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, tax compliance, and payroll systems, ensuring smooth payroll operations while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis for employees across the U.S.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and benefits accurately
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare and file payroll taxes, including federal and state tax filings
- Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payroll runs
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries professionally and promptly
- Coordinate with HR and accounting teams for new hires, terminations, and benefits changes
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2s and 1099s
- Support audits and generate payroll reports as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or Payroll Specialist for the U.S.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
- Experience with payroll software (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience processing multi-state payroll
- Accounting or finance background
