Purpose

The Permit Coordinator will pull all mechanical, electrical, gas, and plumbing permits for all jobs.

Essential Job Functions

E Apply for all mechanical, electrical, gas, and plumbing permits for jobs.

E Ensure permits are in job packs for installers.

E Ensure that the permit fee list is up to date for Sales Reps and Service Techs.

E Scan all permits and save into correct folder.

E Mail permits to customers as needed.

E Work closely with Sales Manager, Sales Reps, Service Techs and Installers to ensure that the correct permits are issues for jobs.

E Respond to customer inquiries regarding status and the approval process of permits.

E Schedule inspections for customers as needed depending on location.

E Schedule mechanical corrections with the home owner.

N Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

This is a non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Competencies

This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations. This position requires excellent communication skills both verbally and written. Must be hard working, self-starter with a positive attitude and respectful.

Education and Experience

Requires a valid driver’s license. Requires a high school diploma and/or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months previous HVAC and electrical experience.

Work Environment

Standard office environment.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.

Supervisory Responsibility

None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor.

Travel

Travel is not a requirement at this time.
