Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per ophthalmologist’s orders.
  • Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
  • Counsel patients on proper use of medications, dosage instructions, and possible side effects.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, including stock verification, storage, and expiry monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy laws, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain proper records for drug dispensing, stock movement, and controlled medicines.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for effective patient care.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the pharmacy area.
  • Handle billing-related pharmacy activities as per hospital process.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm).
  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist with valid PCI (State Pharmacy Council registration).
  • 1–3 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing/pharmacy software.
  • Good communication and patient-handling skills.
