Job Purpose:

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring patient safety, and providing professional advice on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
  • Dispense medications while ensuring correct dosage and instructions
  • Provide counseling to patients on drug usage, side effects, and interactions
  • Maintain proper storage and inventory of medicines (temperature, expiry checks)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment
  • Maintain records of controlled substances and prescriptions
  • Handle customer queries related to medications and healthcare products
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals when required

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
  • License: Valid Pharmacist License (as per local regulatory authority)
  • Experience: 1–3 years (Retail/Hospital pharmacy preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and drug interactions
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
