Job Purpose:
This position is to act as a Pipeline Engineer supporting projects in all pipelines and subsea interconnections related studies in the Screening, Conceptual and Pre-FEED stages of the project. Responsibilities include execution and supervision of pipeline engineering, design and planning, and encompassing possibly new technologies.
Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that all Company and Industry HSE requirements are adhered to in the development studies

Develop pipeline/ flexible technologies evaluation and comparison further, based on existing exercises from previous preliminary study phase

Identify possible optimized options of subsea interconnection routings, pipeline and flexible technologies, coatings, cables, and crossing designs for further technical screening.

Perform technical evaluation to screen-out options and to retain several for conceptual phase. In conceptual phase, retained options would be evaluated further to select the best one for Pre-FEED

Liaise with external technology providers to gather feedback of technical advantages and limitations, delivery timeline, feasibility of implementation in field, and costs of products and services (in coordination with Contract & Procurement entity)

Manage required external engineering scopes, from external company identification, SOW preparation, technical discussions, external engineering supervision, technical reviews, and ensure timely completion of these scopes

Provide technical inputs to support cost estimation of pipelines for each development study phase

Proactively seek and propose technical solutions for CAPEX optimization and implement them into pipeline engineering design

Coordinate with relevant entities in Company to support pipelines engineering, including Geomatics, Geotech & Geophysics, Corrosion, PLR, Structure, Process, Project execution representative, etc.

Develop pipelines project execution and planning, including constructability evaluation

Prepare derogations when required from Company Referential, and manage the approval process

Identify technical risks and integrate into project risk register and propose mitigation plan into the design.

Participate and contribute to all internal and vendor reviews / meetings, including project technical review, operational and safety engineering review and risk management

Prepare presentations and other documentations to facilitate progression of the project through the development process stage gates.

Collaborate with other sub-departments within Project and contribute to improvements transversely.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Engineering

Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years' experience of pipeline engineering in oil and gas industry, with strong involvement in offshore pipelines/ flexibles/ cables engineering activities

Robust understanding on all aspects of pipelines project including pipeline technologies, engineering design, procurement, project execution strategy and offshore installation

Significant experience in Early Engineering (Pre-FEED), including preliminary phase, screening, conceptual and Pre-FEED and cost optimization efforts

Personal attributes: Excellent English Skills (Spoken & Written), good communication, strong leadership skill, ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional and cross-functional team, agile and adaptive to changes

Familiar with NOC and/ or TotalEnergies technical specifications are preferable

Computer literate, especially in MS Office and Pipeline-related software
