Job Role: Planning & Billing Engineer
Role Objective
To ensure effective planning, scheduling, monitoring, and billing of civil, interior, and infrastructure projects. Responsible for preparing detailed project schedules, tracking progress, preparing RA Bills, reconciliation, and ensuring accurate and timely certification of contractor/client bills as per contract agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Planning
- Develop detailed project schedules using Software.
- Prepare baseline programs, resource allocation plans, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly project progress against baseline schedule.
- Coordinate with site execution teams to update project progress and identify delays.
- Prepare recovery schedules and highlight risks/critical activities to management.
- Support Project Manager in planning site mobilization, manpower, and material requirements.
Billing
- Prepare and verify Running Account (RA) bills, interim bills, and final bills for client submission.
- Review and certify subcontractor/vendor bills as per executed quantities and contract terms.
- Maintain measurement books (MB) with joint measurement records (JMR) for executed works.
- Reconcile materials and quantities with site/store records before billing.
- Ensure billing is as per CPWD/IS codes, contract conditions, and BOQ.
- Track advance payments, deductions, retention money, GST, and statutory compliances in bills.
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments for billing approvals.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, cash flow statements, and cost-to-complete projections.
- Maintain documentation of drawings, revisions, correspondence, and approvals related to planning/billing.
- Support in claim preparation for extra items, deviations, price escalation, and variation orders.
- Assist in project close-out reports and final bill reconciliation.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project/Primavera).
- Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software.
- Good understanding of CPWD/contract billing procedures.
- Analytical skills for quantity surveying and rate analysis.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
