To lead and oversee the planning, scheduling, and project controls functions across multiple projects, ensuring their timely, cost-effective, and successful delivery. Responsible for developing and implementing integrated project schedules, resource strategies, progress measurement systems, and recovery plans while providing accurate forecasting, risk analysis, and performance reporting. The Planning Manager/Senior Planning Engineer drives coordination among project teams, management, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, key milestones, and organizational objectives, while supporting informed decision-making and continuous project performance improvement.

4. Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):
- Project Planning, Scheduling & Controls
- Lead the development, governance, and control of integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project across multiple projects.
- Oversee Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development ensuring alignment with contract scope, execution strategy, and client requirements.
- Establish and manage baseline schedules, milestones, and key deliverables, ensuring robust schedule integrity and compliance.
- Drive critical path analysis, scenario planning, and schedule optimization to support strategic decision-making and project delivery.
- Ensure effective implementation of planning standards, procedures, and best practices across projects.
- Resource & Productivity Management
- Lead resource planning strategies including manpower, equipment, and materials forecasting based on BOQ and execution methodology.
- Oversee development and analysis of resource histograms, S-curves, and manpower loading plans across projects.
- Coordinate with construction, procurement, and project management teams to ensure optimized resource utilization and availability.
- Monitor productivity trends and support corrective actions to improve project performance.
- Project Controls, Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Direct preparation and review of weekly, monthly, and executive-level progress reports (physical and financial).
- Oversee Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to assess project performance, cost/schedule variance, and forecasting.
- Ensure accurate baseline vs. actual progress tracking and implement corrective and recovery actions where required.
- Develop high-level dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports for senior management and client reporting.
- Lead preparation of short-term look-ahead schedules (2, 4-week and monthly rolling plans).
- Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Management
- Represent planning function in progress review meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Present schedule updates, risk assessments, recovery plans, and key project performance insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure all planning deliverables comply with contractual obligations, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Act as key interface between project execution teams and client planning representatives.

- Lead coordination between project controls, cost control, procurement, engineering, and site execution teams.

- Implement proactive schedule control measures, including recovery planning and mitigation strategies for potential delays.
- Progress Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Oversee preparation and timely submission of weekly and monthly progress reports in line with project and client requirements.
- Ensure accurate progress measurement and validation, maintaining consistency between reported progress and actual site execution.
- Provide executive-level analysis of schedule performance, including variance identification, trends, and forecast updates.
- Resource Planning & Optimization
- Lead development of resource histograms, S-curves, and manpower loading profiles aligned with project schedules.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization across project phases through continuous monitoring and forecasting.
- Identify resource constraints proactively and implement corrective actions to prevent productivity bottlenecks.

- Establish and maintain a robust Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with project scope, BOQ, and execution methodology.
- Ensure timely incorporation of approved variations, change orders, and scope modifications into planning systems.
- Maintain WBS control to support accurate scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting consistency.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Client Coordination
- Represent planning function in all key client, consultant, and internal progress review meetings.
- Lead response to client schedule queries, comments, and reporting requirements in a timely and professional manner.

- Delay Analysis, Risk Management & Claims Support
- Lead detailed delay analysis, impact assessments, and identification of critical project risks affecting schedule performance.
