ZMK & Co. is seeking applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Program Coordinator (Formal Education) under a donor-funded education sector reform program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These positions are purely on a contract basis with fixed salary packages. Only candidates who have domicile certificates from the project districts are eligible to apply. Females are encouraged to apply.

Purpose of the Position

The Program Coordinator (Formal Education) is responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring effective implementation of donor-supported interventions in formal education across selected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The role focuses on improving access to education, enhancing learning environments (particularly for girls), strengthening community engagement through Parent-Teacher Councils (PTCs), and contributing to efforts aimed at reducing the number of out-of-school children. The position facilitates multi-stakeholder coordination, ensures quality reporting, and oversees program monitoring to achieve intended outcomes.

Brief Job Description

  • Develop annual and monthly implementation plans in coordination with relevant government departments and district education officials.

  • Support district teams in school identification, needs assessment, and delivery of interventions (e.g., solarization, WASH facilities, double-shift schools).

  • Coordinate with government counterparts, programme coordinators, and district staff to ensure smooth execution of activities.

  • Mobilize and engage Parent-Teacher Councils (PTCs) to strengthen community participation and improve girls’ access to education.

  • Provide data for monitoring, prepare progress reports, and highlight challenges in implementation.

  • Oversee day-to-day project operations, including finance, administration, and organization of capacity-building events.

  • Support community engagement and advocacy initiatives to increase enrolment and reduce out-of-school children (OOSC).

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

An advanced University Degree (Master's or higher) in Education, Project Management, Development Studies, or any other related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in Project Management, Planning, and Implementation
  • Experience with donor-funded development projects
  • Experience in working with the Provincial Government Departments in KP
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination, planning, and monitoring educational interventions.
