Job Summary:

The Pool Maintenance and Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of residential and/or commercial swimming pools and related equipment. This role ensures all pools are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:Installation:

• Install new swimming pools (above ground and in-ground) according to specifications and blueprints.
• Set up filtration systems, pumps, heaters, lighting, plumbing, and automation systems.
• Assist with pool renovations including resurfacing, retiling, and equipment upgrades.

Maintenance & Repair:

• Perform routine pool maintenance, including vacuuming, skimming, and brushing.
• Test water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.) and apply appropriate chemicals.
• Diagnose and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and automated systems.
• Detect and repair leaks in pools and plumbing lines.

Customer Service:

• Interact with customers professionally to explain work performed, provide pool care advice, and recommend necessary services.
• Maintain service logs and provide reports on maintenance and repair work.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure work complies with local health and safety standards and regulations.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols at all job sites.

Qualifications:Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in pool maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, or a related field.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or willingness to obtain certification preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of pool systems and water chemistry.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to pool chemicals.
• May require weekend or emergency service calls during peak season
