Pre-K Teacher

Kids & Co. Childcare Center is currently hiring a Pre-K Teacher to work with children ages 3–5. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, is dependable, and wants to be part of a positive and supportive childcare team.

This role focuses on helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Classroom
Work alongside the lead teacher to help organize and carry out daily classroom activities.
Prepare materials and help set up learning areas throughout the classroom.
Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor time, meals, and transitions throughout the day.

Supporting Child Development
Encourage positive social interactions and help children build friendships and communication skills.
Assist with activities that support early learning such as language, numbers, art, and creative play.
Observe children’s development and communicate any important updates to the lead teacher.

Health and Safety
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Assist children with daily needs such as meals, handwashing, and general hygiene.
Follow safety procedures and center policies to ensure the wellbeing of all children.

Teamwork and Communication
Work cooperatively with other teachers and staff members.
Interact with families in a friendly and professional manner when needed.
Participate in staff meetings and trainings as the center continues to grow.

Inclusive Environment
Help create a classroom where all children feel welcomed and supported.
Assist in adjusting activities to support children with different abilities and learning styles.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required (Early Childhood Education background is a plus).
Previous childcare or preschool experience is helpful but not required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.10 - $16.75 per hour
