PRO – Customs, Logistics & Government Relations

Key Responsibilities

A. PRO & Government Relations

  • Liaise with UAE government authorities including:
  • Immigration
  • Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE)
  • GDRFA
  • Free Zone Authorities (HFZA, JAFZA, DMCC, etc.)
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • Handle:
  • Establishment cards
  • Immigration files
  • Labour files
  • Power of Attorney attestations
  • Coordinate with typing centers and government portals

B. Customs Clearance & Trade Compliance

  • Handle import & export customs clearance at:
  • Jebel Ali Port
  • Airports
  • Free Zones
  • Prepare and submit:
  • Bills of Entry
  • HS code classification
  • Invoices, packing lists, COO
  • BOE amendments if required
  • Coordinate customs inspections, port authorities, and clearing agents
  • Ensure compliance with UAE customs laws and free zone regulations
  • Track duties, VAT, DPA, inspection and port charges

C. Logistics & Shipment Handling

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
  • Arrange:
  • Container pickup & delivery
  • Port to warehouse movements
  • Gate passes (JAFZA / HFZA / Ports)
  • Monitor shipment status from origin to final delivery
  • Handle stuffing / destuffing coordination
  • Maintain shipment records and cost tracking

D. Company Licenses & Renewals

  • Manage timely renewal of:
  • Trade licenses
  • Free zone licenses
  • Chamber of Commerce membership
  • Import/export codes
  • Coordinate with Free Zones, Economic Departments, and banks
  • Ensure zero penalties due to late renewals

E. Visa & Immigration Support

  • Process:
  • Employment visas
  • Visit visas
  • Emirates ID applications
  • Medical tests & biometrics
  • Handle visa cancellations and transfers
  • Maintain employee immigration records

F. Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain organized records for:
  • Customs files
  • Licenses & renewals
  • Shipment documents
  • Government receipts & approvals
  • Support audits and compliance checks
  • Update ERP / internal trackers with customs and logistics data

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Business, Logistics, or Administration preferred)
  • 3–6 years UAE PRO experience (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • UAE Customs procedures
  • Free Zone regulations
  • Import/export documentation
  • Government portals (MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP)
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong coordination & follow-up skills
  • Excellent communication in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Time management and multitasking
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • Attention to detail and compliance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time clearance of shipments
  • Zero customs penalties or fines
  • Timely license & visa renewals
  • Cost control on logistics & port charges
  • Accuracy of documentation
  • Response time to internal departments

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with regular site visits to:
  • Ports
  • Free Zones
  • Government offices
  • Occasional urgent or after-hours coordination during shipments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • HAVE YOU WORKED AS PRO IN UAE : 6 years (Required)
