Sabel Systems is seeking a remote Procurement Lead to enhance our operations and support our mission of delivering high-quality services under government contracts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our procurement processes while adhering to strict regulatory and CPSR compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on experience with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements, including the ability to establish, maintain, and continuously improve procurement processes that will ensure compliance with a Defense Contract Management Agency purchasing system review. This individual will act as a steward of compliance, ensuring that every purchase order aligns with CPSR expectations and broader FAR/DFARS requirements.
Beyond compliance, the Procurement Lead will serve as the Product Owner for the procurement system’s (Cobblestone) buildout, advise on contract requirements, streamline time-to-purchase, and manage supplier relationships to foster long-term agreements and sourcing solutions. Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, proven ability to manage material budgets and drive cost savings, and cross-functional communication to ensure smooth operations. An emphasis on continuous improvement, innovation, and proactive CPSR readiness is essential to advancing both procurement efficiency and strategic organizational objectives.

Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and CPSR requirements while efficiently supporting contract delivery.
Review and analyze purchase orders and subcontracting instruments to ensure compliance with CPSR and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain procurement files and data integrity within the Procurement System (Cobblestone).
Serve as the Product Owner for the development, customization, and continuous improvement of the Procurement System to streamline procurement workflows and enhance compliance readiness.
Advise Engagement Managers on contract requirements, CPSR standards, and federal regulations to ensure compliant and efficient procurement practices.
Establish, implement, and refine compliant procurement processes that reduce time-to-purchase and improve audit readiness.
Manage and expand supplier activities to strengthen relationships, establish long-term agreements, and develop sourcing solutions that drive cost savings.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new sources of supply, executing and managing vendor agreements as needed.
Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions that balance compliance with business efficiency.
Oversee material budgets and drive measurable cost savings across procurement activities.
Foster cross-functional communication with Contracts, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment across the value stream.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of innovation, empowering teams to suggest and implement process enhancements.
Lead CPSR readiness efforts by implementing best practices, training staff, and ensuring procurement processes withstand audit review.
Support broader organizational strategic objectives by aligning procurement operations with company growth, compliance, and efficiency goals.
Required Qualifications
Extensive familiarity with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements, with demonstrated ability to establish, maintain, and continuously improve procurement processes that ensure compliance and withstand audit review.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in subcontracts, procurement, or supply chain functions under federal government contracts.
Solid experience in a Government Contractor Purchasing role with proven results in compliance, cost savings, and process efficiency.
B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, management, finance, accounting, or related discipline preferred (experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
Knowledge of the proposal process as it relates to federal business cycles and the preparation of Requests for Proposals.
Ability to research, interpret, and analyze precedent decisions, laws, and regulations according to the FAR and DFARS with minimal oversight as they relate to procurement and acquisitions.
Strong time-management, task prioritization, problem-resolution, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to craft original technical correspondence), exceptional word-processing skills, and proficiency with MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
Ability to write clear, comprehensive documents and reports based on business-related data derived from numerous sources.
Ability to multitask, effectively manage time and prioritize workload, and work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines.
Must have reliable internet service and dedicated workspace.
Experience modifying fields and creating workflows in Cobblestone is highly desirable.

The range for this position is between $XXXXX and $XXXXX. Actual salary will be negotiated with this position’s Hiring Manager and can vary depending on the following factors: Billable contract and labor category, experience, skills, education /certifications/ licenses & geographic location.
