Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies for
engineered and long-lead materials
for infrastructure works.

Manage vendor prequalification, tendering, bid evaluation, and award process for material supply contracts.

Review technical specifications, BOQs, and project drawings to define material requirements.

Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure technical compliance of procured materials.

Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms without compromising quality.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and HSE standards.

Manage relationships with global and local suppliers of engineered materials.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or claims.

Oversee procurement schedules to avoid project delays due to material availability.

Support cost control and value engineering initiatives to achieve savings on engineered packages.

Provide regular procurement status reports and updates to senior management.
Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in civil / mechanical engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.

Minimum 10–15 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within civil infrastructure/general contracting projects.

Proven expertise in sourcing engineered and long-lead materials (steel, precast, concrete systems, geotechnical and mechanical, electrical packages).

Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, contract management, and supplier negotiations.

Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and international procurement standards.

Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle or equivalent).

Strong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.

Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
