Procurement Manager

Our Client: Join an innovative startup based in Dubai, specializing in premium dairy products and value-added food manufacturing. As the client establishes operations and scale production capabilities, we're seeking a dynamic Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to build and lead sourcing strategy from the ground up.

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced procurement and supply chain professional to establish comprehensive sourcing operations for oils/ fats/ dairy manufacturing facility. This role combines strategic procurement with end-to-end supply chain management, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and wants to build systems from scratch.

The successful candidate will lead strategic sourcing for raw materials, dairy ingredients, and packaging while simultaneously managing the complete supply chain operations to ensure seamless production flow and optimal cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Leadership

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and business growth objectives
• Source and negotiate contracts with local and international suppliers for dairy ingredients, additives, packaging materials, and production supplies
• Build and manage a robust supplier network ensuring quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
• Conduct thorough supplier evaluations, audits, and performance assessments focusing on quality standards, delivery reliability, and cost optimization

Supply Chain Management

• Design and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations from supplier to production floor
• Coordinate material planning and inventory management to ensure uninterrupted production flow
• Develop demand forecasting models in collaboration with production and sales teams
• Optimize warehouse operations, inventory levels, and material handling processes
• Implement supply chain KPIs and performance tracking systems

Logistics & Compliance

• Manage import/export operations, customs clearance, and international logistics for perishable goods
• Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations, customs procedures, and quality standards
• Coordinate transportation and distribution logistics for incoming materials
• Handle documentation, contract management, and regulatory compliance requirements

Strategic Operations

• Support new product development initiatives with innovative sourcing solutions for packaging and specialized ingredients
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain ingredient and packaging specifications
• Establish vendor development programs and long-term strategic partnerships

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree in Supply Chain, MBA, or equivalent preferred
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in pro curement and supply chain management within dairy or food manufacturing industries
• Proven track record in establishing procurement operations for startup or expanding food manufacturing companies
• Extensive experience with dairy ingredients, food additives, and packaging materials sourcing
• Strong background in international sourcing and supplier relationship management

Technical Expertise

• Deep knowledge of dairy industry supply chains, ingredients specification, and quality requirements
• Experience with perishable goods logistics, cold chain management, and import/export procedures
• Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain management tools
• Strong understanding of UAE food safety regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements
