Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to establish and lead a professional procurement function that supports Viola Communications’ Events division and broader group operations. The role will drive strategic sourcing, policy creation, supplier management, and operational procurement excellence to deliver cost savings, standardised processes, and improved contribution margins. This is a pivotal role that ensures effective supplier engagement while ensuring best value and quality for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure transparency, fairness, compliance, and cost effectiveness across all sourcing activities.
• Lead competitive sourcing processes, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to ensure best cost, quality and timeline outcomes.
• Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships, including performance scorecards and regular evaluations.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for key spend categories (e.g., AV, decorating, logistics, venues, fabrication) to build a preferred supplier panel with negotiated pricing, service-level agreements (SLAs) and delivery commitments.
• Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, payment terms and SLAs to secure the best value for the company.
• Work closely with Events, Finance and Operations, to understand demand, forecast requirements, and align procurement plans with operational needs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of procurement experience, ideally with events, hospitality, creative, or marketing services.
• Proven experience in developing procurement policies and frameworks, strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Experience using procurement systems, ERPs, or sourcing tools is an advantage.
• Professional procurement certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are desirable.
