Procurement Officer

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services that meet the organization's needs while adhering to budgetary constraints and compliance requirements. This role involves collaboration with various departments to optimize procurement strategies and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and address any issues that arise.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a specific industry related to the organization, such as manufacturing or retail.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPPB) is a plus.
