Procurement Officer - I

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

1. Researching and identifying suppliers who can meet the company's needs for quality, cost, and delivery time.

2. Vendor Evaluation: Conduct assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.

3. Request for Proposal (RFP) Creation: Draft and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, outlining the specifications and requirements for products or services needed.

4. Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards.

5. Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions.

6. Compliance Monitoring: Keep procurement activities compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

7. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure the purchased materials meet all necessary quality metrics.

8. Order Management: Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

9. Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers for long-term partnership and potential cost savings.

10. Technical Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues.

11. Contract Management: Administer supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

§ Bachelor’s degree IN Mechanical or Electrical or Civil Engineering

§ Minimum 3 years in UAE

Preferred Skills

§ Well knowledge in the procurement activities related to fleet, general consumables, spare parts, equipment and activities related Operation and maintenance ( O&M).

§ Procurement & Sourcing – Ability to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers.

§ Negotiation Skills – Strong ability to negotiate prices, terms, and contracts.

§ Knowledge of Procurement Policies & Procedures – Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations.

§ ERP/Procurement Software Skills – Experience in systems such as SAP, Oracle

§ Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Coordinating with vendors, internal departments, and management.

§ Risk Reduction: Minimizes supply chain disruptions by managing supplier performance and quality.

§ Time Management & Organization – Handling multiple procurement requests efficiently.

Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
