Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will develop strategies, identify material opportunities and risks, and collaborate across the supply chain to guide innovation and cost savings. You will facilitate creativity and continuous improvement programs for non-finished good purchases, inventories and goods movement for innovation and renovation projects. Provide a liaison for the Operating Platforms to/from procurement with a lens to the end-to-end materials process for new product introductions.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee procurement engagement in the new product introduction (NPI) process with primary responsibility to drive visibility and communication on materials in Stages 1-4.
  • Provide visibility to the innovation/renovation pipeline and the corresponding requirements and timelines to the EP, Enterprise Procurement, organization.
  • Represent EP in business innovation forums highlighting supply risks, lead times, unique ingredients, etc. that may increase risk to project timelines
  • Ensure all ingredients and packaging materials are available to support innovation, renovations, and ongoing production requirements while balancing volume sensitivity.
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with several suppliers and operating company personnel.
  • Represent the Procurement function on the SC End-to-End teams. Be a voice of Procurement and communicate business initiative requirements and strategies to the broader EP/Planning organization.
  • Support organization in strategy and cost-saving initiatives through participation in small working groups.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Commodity Trade and/or Finance roles
  • Comfortable presenting information to all levels within our organization
  • Assess issues with a strategic focus.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • In the Omaha office Tuesday - Thursday

Compensation:

Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
