Production Manager – Surgical Instruments

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations of high-quality surgical instruments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities while ensuring compliance with international quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets.

The successful candidate should have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of surgical instrument manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Supervise production teams across forging, machining, grinding, polishing, assembly, passivation, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection, and packing.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Purchasing, Planning, and Warehouse departments.
  • Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to improve productivity and reduce production costs.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor production KPIs including efficiency, productivity, rejection rates, rework, downtime, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, FDA, CE/MDR, and other applicable medical device manufacturing requirements.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for production equipment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and staff.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve production and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5–7 years of production management experience in the surgical instruments manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of surgical instrument manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with ISO 13485 quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP, ODOO systems, and production planning software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
