Position: Production Manager - Wood

Location: Kuwait [Sabah AlSalem] – Factory

Type: Full-time

As a Production Manager - [Wood]at ABYAT , you'll be responsible for overseeing all woodworking and joinery production activities, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and on-time delivery across furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, and interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Manage end-to-end wood production processes:
• Cutting, machining, assembly, sanding, finishing, and dispatch
• Ensure adherence to production plans, timelines, and output targets
• Optimize workflow, machine utilization, and manpower allocation

Planning & Control

• Develop and monitor daily and weekly production schedules
• Ensure accurate interpretation of: Shop drawings, Cutting lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Control material consumption and minimize waste, defects, and rework
• Ability to create and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) as needed, while ensuring material accuracy and minimizing shortages or variances.

Quality & Finishing

• Ensure high standards in:
• Finishing, polishing, and paint preparation
• Final product aesthetics and quality
• Coordinate closely with finishing/paint teams

Cross Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with: Design & Engineering, Supply Chain & Warehouse, Quality & Installation teams.
• Ensure smooth production-to-installation handover

Reporting & Improvement

• Monitor KPIs: productivity, efficiency, wastage, and quality
• Provide daily/weekly production reports
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications :

• 7–10 years in woodworking / joinery / furniture manufacturing
• 3–5 years in a production leadership role
• Strong knowledge of: MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, solid wood, hardware
• Ability to read technical/shop drawings and BOMs
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a must)
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, Product Design or related field.
