About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of high end smart home and building automation solutions. This role requires a technically strong professional who can manage projects from concept to handover, combining deep KNX expertise with strong client facing capabilities.

You will work on luxury residential villas, commercial spaces, and hospitality projects, delivering integrated automation systems that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

System Design and Integration
Design and program KNX based automation systems including lighting, HVAC, shading, security, and multimedia using ETS software. Integrate with DALI, BACnet, Modbus, and wireless protocols such as Zigbee and Z Wave.

Project Documentation
Prepare BOQs, technical material submittals, shop drawings, control schematics, cable schedules, and as built documentation for consultant and client approval.

MEP Coordination
Review MEP drawings and specifications to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Site Execution and Supervision
Lead on site teams for device installation, cabling, and panel assembly. Ensure compliance with control drawings and UAE safety standards including DEWA, ADDC, and Dubai Municipality requirements.

Commissioning and Handover
Conduct pre commissioning, functional testing, and final commissioning. Provide client training and system backup procedures.

Cost Management
Prepare cost estimations and BOQs during pre sales and tendering stages. Manage project budgets and maintain profitability targets.

Client and Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary technical contact for clients, architects, MEP consultants, and contractors. Conduct technical presentations and project meetings.

Quality Assurance
Ensure installations meet industry standards and local regulations. Troubleshoot and optimize system performance.

Must Have Requirements

• Minimum 6 years hands on experience in KNX system design, programming using ETS 4 5 or 6, and commissioning.
• Proven experience in high end residential villa automation projects within the UAE.
• Full project lifecycle experience including BOQ preparation, technical submittals, MEP drawing review, and client handover.
• Valid UAE driving license and immediate availability or maximum one month notice period.

Nice to Have Requirements

• KNX Partner Certification Basic and Advanced or Certified KNX Tutor status.
• Multi protocol experience including DALI, BACnet or Modbus, plus at least one wireless protocol such as Zigbee or Z Wave.
• Experience working with premium automation brands such as Crestron, Loxone, HDL, Helvar, or Pharos.
• Additional technical exposure in IoT development using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or Home Assistant, BMS integration, or ELV system design including CCTV, access control, or intercom.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.

Certifications
KNX Partner certification Basic minimum and Advanced preferred. Manufacturer certifications such as Crestron, Loxone, HDL, etc. are advantageous.

Software
Proficiency in ETS 4 5 or 6, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Familiarity with BMS software suites, Dialux, or ETAP is an advantage.

Languages
Fluent English required. Arabic or additional languages are a plus.
