Project Engineer (Civil)

Industry: Construction (High-Rise Buildings)
Experience Required: Minimum 10+ years of experience in the UAE construction industry (Mandatory)
Reporting To: Project Manager / Project Director

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Civil with a strong background in high-rise building construction in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating site activities, ensuring project execution according to design specifications, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage civil construction activities for high-rise building projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project schedules.
• Monitor site progress, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Manage material procurement, delivery, and site utilization.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions at site.
• Support project manager in planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures and HSE standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of UAE construction experience (Mandatory).
• Proven experience in high-rise building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, codes, and authority approvals.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.
• Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with main contractors in large-scale high-rise projects.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of Dubai Municipality / DDA / Trakhees regulations is an advantage.
