Job Title: Public Affairs Officer

Job Overview:
The Public Affairs Officer is responsible for managing all government, regulatory, and external stakeholder matters related to factory operations. The role ensures smooth coordination with authorities, timely approvals, legal compliance, and protection of the company’s public and regulatory reputation.
Key Responsibilities:1. Government & Regulatory Coordination
- Liaise with local, provincial, and federal government departments.
- Manage approvals, renewals, and compliance for:
- Factory licenses
- Environmental approvals (EPA)
- Labor department registrations
- EOBI, SESSI / PESSI, Social Security
- Excise, Sales Tax, and other applicable authorities
- Follow up on inspections, notices, and official correspondence.
2. Factory Compliance Support
- Ensure factory operations comply with labor laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with HSE, HR, and Legal teams during audits and inspections.
- Assist in resolving non-compliance issues and regulatory observations.
3. External Relations & Representation
- Represent the company before government offices, industrial zones, and utility providers.
- Maintain strong working relationships with officials and inspectors.
- Handle community and local administration matters affecting factory operations.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit official applications, letters, and compliance reports.
- Maintain records of permits, licenses, renewals, and approvals.
- Provide regular status updates to management on public affairs matters.
5. Risk & Issue Management
- Identify regulatory risks that may impact factory production or operations.
- Support management during disputes, inspections, or compliance escalations.
- Assist in crisis handling related to regulatory or public matters.
6. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Production, HR, Finance, HSE, and Legal departments.
- Support factory management in policy implementation and government communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Law, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years in public affairs, government relations, or administration within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of factory-related laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle government procedures efficiently and professionally.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and problem-solving ability.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely renewal and approval of factory licenses and permits.
- Zero or minimal regulatory penalties and compliance issues.
- Effective handling of inspections and audits.
- Quality and accuracy of documentation and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
