Public Relation Officer (PRO)

Position Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for handling all official dealings and documentation with various government agencies, ministries, and regulatory bodies within the UAE. This role ensures the company and its employees maintain full legal compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, particularly concerning visa, immigration, labor, and commercial licensing matters. The PRO acts as the primary liaison between the organization and governmental authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process all types of visa applications (employment, residency, visitor), including renewals, cancellations, and transfers, for employees and their dependents with the GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs) and Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP).
  • Handle all procedures related to the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE), including processing labor cards, employment contracts, and labor-related documentation.
  • Renew and maintain all necessary commercial licenses, trade permits, and registrations with the relevant Economic Department (e.g., DED in Dubai, ADDED in Abu Dhabi) and Free Zone authorities.
  • Process and follow up on documentation at various governmental offices, including Municipalities, Courts, Police Departments, and relevant Embassies/Consulates.

Compliance & Administration:

  • Ensure the organization is up-to-date on all changes in government rules, regulations, and procedures, advising management on necessary actions.
  • Maintain an organized and updated filing system for all official documents, licenses, visas, passports, and employee records.
  • Prepare and process NOCs (No Objection Certificates) and various legal letters as required.
  • Coordinate document legalization, translation, and attestation processes with Embassies, Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and other relevant authorities.

Communication & Support:

  • Provide clear and timely updates to employees regarding the status of their visa, Emirates ID, and other government-related applications.
  • Assist new employees with the official onboarding process related to government formalities.
  • Manage the company's designated P.O. Box.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a PRO in the UAE, demonstrating a thorough understanding of UAE Labor Law, Immigration procedures, and Economic Department regulations.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of online government portals (e.g., MOHRE system, ICP portals, E-channels).
  • Language: Fluency in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for dealing with official documentation and government staff.
  • License: Must possess a valid UAE Driving License and be willing to travel frequently between government offices.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Must be reliable, discreet, and possess strong attention to detail.

  • HR Manager, Administration Manager, or General Manager.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From AED1,500.00 per month

Expected hours: 15 per week
