Purchase Manager

India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain adequate stock.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, finance, operations) to understand requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain purchase orders, records, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like cost savings, vendor performance, and lead time.
  • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure continuous supply and quality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management & supply chain
  • Excellent communication & vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle)
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
