We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations for our modular construction projects. The role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of construction materials, prefabricated components, and supply chain management. The Purchase Manager will play a critical role in ensuring timely availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices to support project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with project requirements and company goals.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, equipment, and services related to modular construction.
- Maintain vendor relationships and build a reliable supplier base for long-term partnerships.
- Ensure procurement of high-quality materials within budget and project timelines.
- Review purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders as per company policies.
- Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and ensure cost optimization.
- Coordinate with project, design, and site teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, legal regulations, and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Lead and guide the procurement team for efficiency and performance improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering,
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3–5 years in construction or modular/prefab industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, prefabricated components, and vendor networks.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement cycles simultaneously.
