Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement activities of both a healthcare industry as well as Solar Company. This role requires efficient sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management to ensure timely supply of medical, pharmaceutical, and solar energy-related equipment. The manager will collaborate with various departments to identify needs and develop strategies for cost-effective purchasing while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Planning:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, hospital equipment, and solar-related materials.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand material requirements and forecast demand.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers for both hospital and solar operations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure the best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards for medical and solar products.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels of medical supplies, equipment, and solar components.
- Establish reorder levels and minimize lead times to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Cost Control:
- Track and analyze purchasing budgets to control costs and optimize expenditures.
- Continuously evaluate market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with hospital and solar industry standards, including medical regulations, environmental guidelines, and sustainable purchasing practices.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and transactions for audits and financial reporting.
- Risk Management:
- Identify risks related to supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, or vendor reliability and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with finance, legal, and operations teams to align purchasing activities with overall business goals.
- Report to senior management on purchasing performance, cost savings, and vendor assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the healthcare or solar energy sectors.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, both in the medical and solar energy sectors.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with sustainable and ethical purchasing practices.
